The TD Professional series is tailored to the requirements of the roofing, sheet metal and industrial sectors. The proven Thalmann synchronous drive shaft systems are the basis for these new developments that offer many advantages for our customers.
General features of the machine
The slow-moving THALMANN TD double bender is a clean, neatly welded and assembled construction, finished with two-component enamel in silver and yellow colors. The heavy, stable machine frame stands on an adjustable built-in leveling device to compensate for unevenness.
The touch-screen graphical controller controls all functions and data. The control panel is located on the right side of the machine or optionally in a mobile stand-alone unit. The ergonomically shaped unit allows for flexible and stress-free work.
The machine is designed as a swing beam bending machine with two tilted bending beams offset 15° to the bending line. This modern production machine offers three different modes: “fully automatic,” “semi-automatic” and “manual mode.” The unique synchronization system of THALMANN-bending machines ensures precision radius adjustment and guarantees perfectly parallel bent sheet metal profiles.
The freely programmable back gauge is equipped with pneumatically operated grippers. Grippers ranging from 1250 mm to 15 mm are fixed in place between the C-frames.
As an option, to the side of the grippers, additional emergency stop stop fingers can be attached. They are programmable for the range of smallest bends between 5 – 15 mm and are also pneumatically driven. Tapered parts can be produced with the optional feature taper gripper (X1 – X2). The back gauge system is driven by means of a frequency-controlled electric motor with an intermediate gear wheel and an integral rotary encoder, on this long-speed THALMANN TD double bender.

SHEET FLIPPING UNIT – Flipping device
The automatic sheet tilt unit significantly reduces the handling of sheet metal parts and makes the seating process more efficient. After the tilting process, the sheets are placed precisely at the grippers for the next setting.
In addition, this ensures simplified production processes, higher safety for operators, reduced personnel input and lower production costs.
In combination with the lateral sheet feeding, customers receive an almost fully automatic solution for the production of sheet metal profiles. Machine operators need only load the lateral sheet feeder and remove the finished profiles from the machine.
Automatic Plate Unloading Unit
The automatic sheet metal unloading unit significantly increases your productivity and flexibility. After the setting process, the machine picks up the finished sheet metal profiles fully automatically, transports them to the buffer for set parts and lays them out clearly so that you can remove them easily and safely.
If you want manual operation, simply fold the complete unloading unit and store it compactly under the buffer. This creates free working space directly in front of the benchtop, without compromising functionality.
With this solution, one operator operates the entire system. This saves man hours, reduces the risk of injury, optimally protects the finished product and lowers overall production costs.
Thanks to integrated side loading and an automatic flip function, you fully automate the plate setting process – faster, safer and more consistent than ever.
