General features of the machine

The machine is a clean, neatly welded and assembled construction, primed and finished with two-component enamel, in silver and yellow colors. The heavy, stable machine frame stands on an adjustable built-in leveling device to compensate for unevenness.

The touch-screen graphical controller controls all functions and data. The control panel is located on the right side of the machine or optionally in a mobile stand-alone unit. The ergonomically shaped unit allows for flexible and stress-free work.

The machine is designed as a swing beam folding machine with two tilted bending beams offset 15° to the bending line. This modern production machine offers three different modes: “fully automatic,” “semi-automatic” and “manual mode.” Precision radius adjustment is done by a unique synchronization system of THALMANN -bending machines and guarantees perfectly parallel bent sheet metal profiles.

The freely programmable back gauge is equipped with pneumatically operated grippers. Grippers ranging from 1250 mm to 15 mm are fixed in place between the C-frames.

As an option, to the side of the grippers, additional emergency stop stop fingers can be attached. They are programmable for the range of smallest bends between 5 – 15 mm and are also pneumatically driven. Tapered parts can be produced with the optional feature taper gripper (X1 – X2). The back gauge system is driven by a frequency-controlled electric motor with an intermediate gear and an integral rotary encoder.
