Operation of the MCL hydraulic C-press
The press operates by simultaneous use of double buttons on a mobile chassis, in accordance with European safety standards.
According to European standards, the operator must have both hands free during the pressing phase to prevent unintentional injury to himself during the lowering of the cylinder.
The standard version includes the installation of microswitches to adjust the cylinder stroke and set the maximum lowering and rising points.
The cylinder rises automatically when:
- the dual buttons are released.
- the preset maximum lowering point is reached.
- the press quota is reached.
If photoelectric barriers are installed on the press, it is sufficient to press the dual buttons once at a time to start the full cycle of lowering and raising the cylinder.
The console also features a selector switch that allows you to switch from automatic to manual mode. The latter mode is normally used for positioning the jigs and adjusting the microswitches. On the pedestal, in addition to the emergency button, there is also the button to raise the cylinder in manual mode.

General features of the hydraulic C-press
The C-Frame hydraulic press, model MCL from SICMI, is ideal for stamping, drawing and deformation of sheet metal and various materials.
This press model is characterized by the high starting speed of the cylinder, which rises to 125 mm/sec. This makes this press ideally suited for use in workshops with fast production cycles.
The press is equipped with a sliding upper table and a fixed lower table bolted to the press frame. There are T-slots on both tables for securing molds.
The two-speed hydraulic drive unit is located at the rear of the machine for optimum space, while the electrical panel is installed on one side of the frame.
At the top of the structure there is also a knob for setting the maximum working pressure and a pressure gauge to display the value of the pressure used.
