There are quite a few different press brakes (or shears), each with their own application for thin or thick sheet metal, with possibility of simple adjustments to CNC controlled cutting machines.
It is also possible to cut endlessly from coil.

The press brake bends the sheet by pressing the top tool into a die, creating a symmetrical bend. The material is not clamped.
